Dr. Judy Phillips has been a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God since 1988 and was Christian Education Director at Trinity Life Center, as well as Bible Quiz Director for the Northern California/Nevada District. With respect to education, she received an M.A. in Bible and Theology from Simpson University in 1986 (with a 4.0 GPA) and a Ph.D. in Theology from Walden University in 1994 (her dissertation on the holiness of God was stated to be the best form and style they had ever received). She has taught for Simpson University, taught at Capital Bible College, taught and directed Bethany University’s Sacramento satellite, and taught at the Pentecostal Bible College in Fiji. In addition, she has written a new translation of the New Testament which includes an integrated gospel and many pictures), and she has written a number of books she uses as supplemental textbooks. She also has led a number of biblical study tours to Israel, Jordan, Greece, and Turkey.

To Judy, the teaching of sound doctrine and scriptural foundations is very important so that Christians may be strengthened in God’s Word, well-equipped, and ready for His use. The positive response of students to her teaching is one confirmation to her that God has called her to the teaching ministry. Although they state that her courses are challenging, they also state that they can understand her teaching. They learn and come back after graduation to thank her for the impact on their lives and ministry. Foundational to Judy’s teaching is growing in the knowledge of God. As individuals grow in the knowledge of God and focus upon Him, they have a strong desire to worship and praise Him. In so doing, they become more Godlike and Christlike, which in turn provides for meaningful service in God’s kingdom work. This is the thrust of Judy’s teaching ministry and more and more doors are opening for Judy to share this emphasis.
